ALVIN HARNAGE

Youth Navigator

Alvin is a Youth Navigator at The Foundation WA, where he is dedicated to helping young people build brighter futures. Drawing from his own life experiences, he brings empathy, patience, and motivation to his work—guiding youth through conflict resolution, coping strategies, and personal growth.

After serving six years in prison, Alvin turned his life around through education and community service. He studied at Clark College before transferring to Western Business College, where he earned an Applied Science degree in Medical Assisting. His career journey includes 2.5 years at Vancouver Clinic, over a decade with Kaiser Permanente Medical Insurance, and time with Innovative Services, where he supported high-risk youth.

Today, Alvin continues to mentor others both at The Foundation WA and at Pier 360 Recovery House. Known for his active listening, communication skills, and calm presence, he is passionate about giving back and inspiring youth to pursue positive opportunities.

Outside of work, Alvin enjoys spending time with his family, working out, and reading.
