Receptionist (Bridgeview Front Desk)
Job Summary: The Receptionist
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and volunteers in a warm and professional manner.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls, taking accurate messages as needed.
- Manage the organization's/ED email and respond to inquiries promptly.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and events.
- Maintain an organized and tidy reception area.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and document preparation.
- Provide support to staff and volunteers as needed.
- Handle mail and packages, ensuring proper distribution.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Assist in promoting the organization’s programs and events.
- Manage ED/Organization's calendar
- Coordinate/schedule each room's availability in Bridgeview
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Compassionate and understanding demeanor, with a commitment to the nonprofit’s mission.
Work Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
