Receptionist (Bridgeview Front Desk)

Job Summary: The Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for our organization, providing excellent customer service to visitors, clients, and stakeholders. This role involves managing front desk operations, handling inquiries, and ensuring smooth communication within the office. The ideal candidate will be friendly, organized, and committed to supporting the mission of our nonprofit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and volunteers in a warm and professional manner.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls, taking accurate messages as needed.
  • Manage the organization's/ED email and respond to inquiries promptly.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and events.
  • Maintain an organized and tidy reception area.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and document preparation.
  • Provide support to staff and volunteers as needed.
  • Handle mail and packages, ensuring proper distribution.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Assist in promoting the organization’s programs and events.
  • Manage ED/Organization's calendar
  • Coordinate/schedule each room's availability in Bridgeview

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Compassionate and understanding demeanor, with a commitment to the nonprofit’s mission.

Work Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
